I turned up at the public Masters session at Stanley this evening (Thursday night, I’m more than a bit dilatory with my blogging at the moment) not quite the first time this year but almost. It was pretty busy, previously 9 -12 swimmers would be a good turn out, but this evening there were around 20 of us, with some of the usual suspects, including Sparky Clarky and Proudy.
I was demoted to lane 4, were I was leading Tracy (a stick insect addicted to exercise) and was quite pleased with my efforts, although trying to be objective about it there was nothing spectacular about the swimming but at least I was getting some rest.
There I was swimming along when the end lane stopped and up popped the third Edwards sibling Mary, (to compliment El Tel and Fireman Mike) I had’t seen her for about ten years so it was great to catch up in the foyer after the swim. It’s a small world this swimming planet.
