It wasn’t easy dragging myself out of bed for this morning’s swim I was aiming to get up at 6:15 but the desire to turn over and have an extra 40 minutes was overwhelming, and I made it to the pool with enough time for a 40 minute swim.
I was aching a bit after the weekend’s efforts so it was a pretty leisurely swim in the public lanes this morning, I fell into conversation with one of the other guys in my lane and ended up giving him a couple of tips.
The blindingly obvious “Breathing’s easier if you breath out under the water” was the most gratefully received.
I pushed on trying to perfect a complicated Sarah Sjöström drill I saw on Facebook yesterday; this proved to be fiendishly difficult and exposed my woeful lack of coordination.
It was back for the Masters session this evening to take my daily total to 5600 metres. Apart from trying to swim every day a secondary goal would be to make 100,000 yards. That means I have to up the ante over the rest of the month. Not sure that’s going to be either pleasant or achievable.
