February Fitness Challenge Day 20

Monthly Total 67,650 metres

The pressure’s on if I want to break 100,000 metres for the month, I’ve only got 8 days left and whilst I’m confident (barring emergencies and accidents) that I can  break the 100,000 yard mark, converting that to a metric measure might just be a bridge to far.

I might need to start looking for an extra session in Friday, I wonder if the Newcastle Saddo session’s still on?

The one redeeming feature of the next 8 days is that my PT’s off on holiday so tomorrow morning’s probably my last session for 10 days or so, which will be a welcome relief.

consett-leisure-114-webThis morning’s gym work was a horrible leg session. I couldn’t work out if (a) I was being  a wuss or (b) he’d deliberately ramped the work up because he was going away or (c) I’d upset him when I mentioned that I had T shirts older than he was. Anyway I was forced to admit defeat on a set of split squats. A broken woman.

A leisurely early morning plod and this evening’s Masters session gave me a decent total of 5.6 k for the day. I was mocked mercilessly by little Clarkie for the typo in yesterday’s blog (subsequently corrected ) where I professed to swim 400 free in 3:36. Eat your heart our Katie Ledecky!

Mad Cow?

Queenie Reid was there and put herself in the running to be labelled as most senile Master of the season, because for some inexplicable reason she thought it was Sunday ?????

As for the sessions the set of 100’s this evening wasn’t quite as fiendishly difficult as it might’ve been because the additional 30 secs rest sort of saved the day, (and my arms.)
